Kemp has more than 30 years of nursing experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and her Master of Science in Adult Nursing Oncology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Kemp has experience with inpatient and outpatient oncology care, including more than 10 years of gynecologic cancer care experience.

Kemp is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and of the Board of Directors of the Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists. In addition, she participates in weekly gynecologic cancer conferences.
