Vanessa Adams Wins Susan Adams Customer Service Award for 2007
We are pleased to announce Vanessa Adams (Grove Commons Business Office Patient Financial Counselor) is the 2007 Susan Adams Customer Service Award Recipient. The Susan Adams Customer Service Award is presented annually to a Cancer Centers of the Carolinas employee who most exemplifies the compassion, spirit and values of customer service.
Vanessa was nominated by 3 different people for this award. Vanessa is a hard-working, dedicated employee who is considered a leader in her department. She is very active in her church with a program called Operation Greenville Outreach. Vanessa works with as many as 300-600 inner-city and under privileged children each week. She picks these children up from their neighborhoods and teaches them about the Bible and various object lessons. She visits the children in their homes and prays with them and their families. The goal is to reach out to these children and their families and let them know they are loved--something many of these children have never experienced.
One of her co-workers describes her as a "Power House with a Heart of Gold."
